Ms. B. Umamaheswari, M.Sc., M.Phil., is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology at Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science. She is a University II Rank Holder in her postgraduate studies at Bharathidasan University, where she also completed her M.Phil. in Microbiology. She has teaching experience spanning more than a decade, having served as Lecturer at Idhaya College for Women, Kumbakonam, before joining AMCAS. Her research contributions include studies on Rhizoctonia solani in paddy and investigations on the effects of antibiotics and disinfectants on wound samples. Her areas of academic interest include Medical and Environmental Microbiology, Antimicrobial Resistance, Agricultural Microbiology, and Microbial Biotechnology.
